File:Franjuly.jpg[edit]

This file was initially tagged by Patrick Rogel as Copyvio (copyvio) and the most recent rationale was: https://m.facebook.com/FrancisscaPeterOfficial/photos/a.159862854027765/3124882107525810/?type=3&source=54

Violation of COM:OVERWRITE. (which needs revdel) Is there also a problem with the original upload? - Alexis Jazz ping plz 15:21, 18 September 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Symbol keep vote.svg Keep If the uploader was able to shoot File:2015 Fazura.jpg (has OTRS permission), I have no problem believing they also created this. - Alexis Jazz ping plz 15:29, 18 September 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]
  • Symbol delete vote.svg Delete - The OTRS ticket for File:2015 Fazura.jpg is for that image only and is entirely irrelevant. This image was uploaded 1 August 2011, but appeared here on 25 July 2011, and, given the position of the subject's arm, appears to be a selfie (i.e., author would be Francissca Peter, not IejaMohamedSaleh). COM:OTRS permission is required for previously published images. Эlcobbola talk 15:48, 18 September 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@Elcobbola: I'm not convinced it's a selfie, looking at the other photos in the series with the same kind of date stamp (so same camera) that are clearly not selfies. I hope the uploader will weigh in, also for their other uploads. But I wouldn't call the OTRS permission for File:2015 Fazura.jpg irrelevant. It proves what the uploader is capable of, combined with assuming good faith we should assume (unless given further evidence) they are also the creator of similar quality photos they uploaded. - Alexis Jazz ping plz 16:00, 18 September 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]
This is a previously published image for which we do not not have permission, which is explicitly required. All else is moot; that notwithstanding: a) different people are in fact capable of using the same camera; b) you appear not to have actually read COM:AGF, especially this section; and c) "further evidence" includes the uploaders' (deleted) contribs which credit various authors, contain numerous camera models, and have widely disparate technical characteristics, all of which are hallmarks of copyvios. Indeed, even the OTRS ticket for File:2015 Fazura.jpg is not actually valid, as it came from a "generic" email address (e.g., hotmail.com, aol.com, etc.) instead of from one present (i.e., verifiable) on the purported photography studio's website; this is not allowed, and the ticket should not have been accepted. Struck some - the connection to the email used can be made by bouncing around social media accounts. Эlcobbola talk 16:27, 18 September 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@Elcobbola:
a) Yes, it's technically possible, but we don't see that much of her arm that I'm totally convinced this is a selfie. I've seen it before.
b) Sorry, I was confused with COM:PRP. (significant doubt due to quality or access to celebrities doesn't apply when the uploader is known to be capable of that)
c) The presentation of the image having been uploaded elsewhere before it was uploaded here could be considered further evidence, which you presented. The mail address doesn't happen to be a.....za@gmail.com, does it? - Alexis Jazz ping plz 16:42, 18 September 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]
