The website license is CC BY ND 3.0 Brasil. Non derivative works are not allowed in commons. The image is also tagged as "Divulgação/Rio 2016" similar as Fair Use. See the EBC site (CC BY 3.0) the image has the same tag. Rodrigolopes (talk) 23:55, 26 July 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Symbol delete vote.svg Delete The correct source is http://www.brasil2016.gov.br/pt-br/galeria-de-fotos/medalhas-dos-jogos-olimpicos-e-paralimpicos-rio-2016/ giving credits to "Foto: Rio 2016" which leads to https://www.rio2016.com/en (offical site) = "All rights reserved" = https://www.rio2016.com/en/news/rio-2016-reveals-olympic-medals-celebrating-nature-and-sustainability = probadly copyrighted work by "Rio 2016/Alex Ferro". Works by brasil2016.gov.br are credited with name of photographer/brasil2016.gov.br. They are failing again, like Category:Copa2014.gov.br related deletion requests... Copyright violation. We don't know who designed this medal, but it was published recently; unless we have reason to believe otherwise, we must conclude that the medal designs are copyrighted and non-free. Photographs of medals are derivative works of the medals and cannot be hosted on Commons unless the medals are freely usable. An exception to this is freedom of panorama; Brazililian law states "Works permanently located in public places may be freely represented by painting, drawing, photography and audiovisual processes." (COM:FOP Brazil) That being said, this display does not appear to be permanent at all (it's just a few stands on a table with an open medal case splayed before them), so I don't think FOP can apply in this case.  Mysterymanblue  05:29, 7 August 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]
