Non-encyclopedic: I think it is not appropriate to keep these pictures here, but we should keep only the most important

Keep. I would have no problem with deletion of File:Hadji Ali - water spouting.png, as redundant, and of poorer quality than File:Aly, the Mysterious Egyptian.jpg, but that has nothing to do with this baseless, empty nomination. One of the three is a featured picture, and three of them are in use not just at numerous locations, but at an English Wikipedia featured article (w:Hadji Ali), not that that matters. The reference to "Non-encyclopedic" indicates a conflation between the purpose of the Commons and that of Wikipedia; such ground has little relationship to Commons:Project scope. These are: media files in allowable free formats, in the pubic domain, that are realistically useful for an educational purpose. Unfortunately, Commons does not seem to have an equivalent of {{Trout}} for the nominator..--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 22:04, 4 October 2017 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Hmm. Two other deletion nominations by the same new user for featured pictures:

  • Keep - Wide use throughout Wikipedia shows educational value of images.  — Chris Woodrich (talk) 00:21, 5 October 2017 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Kept: no valid reason for deletion. --Pi.1415926535 (talk) 04:43, 11 October 2017 (UTC)Reply[reply]
