Hello,

The image on 2022 United States Senate election in Vermont results map by county.svg is incorrect, Malloy won Essex County with ~49% of the vote, could this please be corrected? (the page is currently protected) AveryTheComrade (talk) 22:03, 2 May 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hey @Magog the Ogre the map shapes are incorrect can you unlock the page again so i can update it? Putitonamap98 (talk) 01:49, 7 May 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
also will need to unlock https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:2022_United_States_Senate_election_in_Ohio_results_map_by_county.svg and https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:2022_Vermont_gubernatorial_election_results_map_by_county.svg
the counties are incorrect and need to be updated Putitonamap98 (talk) 13:33, 7 May 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Do you want them unprotected or reverted? Can you just tell me all at once which you want? It's getting a bit tedious doing them one by one. Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 16:50, 7 May 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@Magog the Ogre some results need to be updated that are incorrect
for the ohio 2022 senate map in knox county Vance got 60 percent and in pike county he got 70 percent of the vote.
for the vermont governor map Scott actually got 70 percent of the vote in windsor and addison counties and the vermont house map needs to be updated in chitteden county balint got 70 percent of the vote
and the 2022 vermont senate map i wanted to update to the standard v2 style like all the rest: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Vermont_county_map,_cb_500k.svg Putitonamap98 (talk) 12:21, 8 May 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
did you get them? @Magog the Ogre Putitonamap98 (talk) 16:13, 10 May 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Ok i tried again and i was finally able to update the ohio senate and vermont governor maps with the final margins. But i still can't do the vermont senate map Putitonamap98 (talk) 11:33, 15 May 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@Putitonamap98: The page is not protected. Something else is blocking it, which is why I recommended you follow the instructions and make a request at the link that the message gives you. Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 11:56, 18 May 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Re: Logos[edit]

Can you explain why the Gateway logo and the PC Partner logos meet the threshold of originality, so that I don't step on any copyright holder's toes in the future? For reference I use File:Nikon Logo.svg and File:Cyberpunk 2077 logo.svg as my benchmarks for whether a logo can be considered public domain (e.g. gradients and flourishes don't automatically bring the sum of the parts past the threshold, in the eyes of the United States gov't). Thanks-- DigitalIceAge (talk) 03:58, 19 May 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@DigitalIceAge: it looks like the copyright office has been more aggressive about denying copyright protection than it used to be. I have restored the uploads in question as I no longer believe they are open and shut. I will, however, nominate several of them deletion as they are more complex than other works which have been deemed copyrightable on COM:TOO US. Thank you for doing that! DigitalIceAge (talk) 18:08, 20 May 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
